Sam Stein is a recording engineer, producer, and musician based in Brooklyn, NY with a degree in Sound Recording Technology from Ithaca College.

Sam has engineered at acclaimed NYC and Woodstock recording studios, including Reservoir, Applehead, and The Cutting Room, and has worked with artists including Paul Simon, Florence Welch, André 3000, Mark Ronson, Jacob Collier, Yebba, and Chris Thile, among others.

In addition to music, Sam has engineered audio for independent feature films, television shows for Hulu and Netflix, audiobooks for Penguin Random House, and official Broadway cast recordings.

As a producer, Sam has worked with a variety of rock, pop, folk, and R&B artists in and around the New York area. He has also independently released various solo projects and records with his band Lazy Bones. Most recently, Sam released his solo project Highways I-IV (April 2025).

When not in the studio, Sam travels with multiple touring acts as Tour Manager. He has managed headlining tours across the US, Canada, Asia, and Australia for the artist Hojean since 2022.
